So what is Alkaline and Acidic

I have recently joined a health club in town and have learned quite a bit about how to stay healthy. I am not experimenting with a more alkaline diet. Upon researching, I have read that it is best to eat a diet that is 80% alkaline, 20% acidic. What foods fall into this category you may ask. I am posting a link that I have found which seems to be the most comprehensive. However, I have discovered if it is bad for you it is most likely acidic. I also tested my body's ph levels recently with test strips which I purchased from Earth Fare. I found that my body's ph level was very acidic. I took some mineral supplements and have drastically changed my diet. I am happy to report that as of this evening, my ph is at the optimal level. I have read that you will struggle with wait until your ph is balanced. I will keep you posted as to how that goes this week!
